Small Silent DC Fan for Noise-Sensitive Equipment

12 V and 24 V DC fan tuned for low sound pressure, for equipment used near people. Lower speed, lower noise, reduced airflow.
  • Frame Size: 92 × 92 × 25 mm
  • Voltage: 12 / 24 V
  • Speed: 2000–3500 rpm
  • Airflow: 59.67–104.55 m³/h
  • Noise: 28.3–41.3 dB(A)
  • Static Pressure: 2.12–5.2 mmH2O

Overview

This range is tuned for sound rather than airflow. The impeller and motor run at lower speed, and the frame is stiffened so the panel does not add its own resonance — which is often the louder half of the problem in small enclosures.

The trade is explicit: less airflow than the high-flow range at the same size. Use it where the heat load is modest and the fan is close to the user: desktop equipment, medical housings, office machines.

Where it fits

  • Equipment used on or near a desk
  • Medical and laboratory housings
  • Office and retail machines
  • Consumer products with a noise specification

Selection and installation notes

Noise is a system property. A silent fan bolted to a thin steel cover can be louder than a standard fan on a rigid mounting, so plan the mounting as part of the noise design.

If the thermal margin is tight, do not buy silence with airflow. Improve the intake path first, then choose the fan.

FAQ

How much airflow does it give up?

It runs slower than the standard range at the same size, so airflow is lower. The table lists the figure per model against its noise level.

Will it stay quiet over time?

Bearing type decides that. Ball bearings stay quieter for longer in heat; sleeve bearings start quiet and degrade as they wear.

Can I reduce the speed further?

With voltage or PWM control, down to the point where the fan still starts reliably. Below that it may stall or hum.

Does mounting matter?

Yes. Use resilient mounts and avoid thin, unsupported panels, which radiate vibration as noise.
