Overview

This fan is aimed at equipment that generates heat in a small volume: power supplies, chargers, drive boards and compact inverters. It moves air directly across the components rather than around them, which is what a short internal path allows.

The range lists both airflow and static pressure, which matters here: a fan pushing through a tight fin stack needs pressure, not just free-air volume. Pick on the pressure figure if the air has to pass a heatsink.

Where it fits

  • Switch-mode power supplies
  • Battery chargers and adapters
  • Drive and control boards
  • Compact inverters and converters

Selection and installation notes

Where the fan discharges into a confined space, make sure the air has a way out. A fan that pressurises a sealed compartment only stirs hot air.

Dust on the blades is the most common cause of imbalance and noise in this class. Fit a filter or a mesh where the intake faces a dirty environment.

FAQ

How do I choose between models?

Start with the voltage available and the space, then compare airflow at the static pressure your heatsink creates. Free-air figures overstate performance in a restricted path.

Is it suitable for continuous operation?

Yes, with the right bearing. Ball bearings suit continuous duty and higher ambient; sleeve bearings are better for intermittent, cooler, horizontal use.

Can it be mounted vertically?

Ball-bearing versions can. Sleeve bearings wear faster in a vertical position, particularly at higher temperatures.

Do you supply connectors?

Lead wire length and connector type can be specified for OEM orders. Send the harness drawing or a sample.
