OEM & ODM
OEM and ODM Fan Customization
OEM here means a fan built to your specification and sold under your brand. ODM means you start from a platform we already supply and change the parts that matter — voltage, connector, label, mounting — without paying for a new tooling programme.
Both routes end the same way: an approved sample or signed data sheet becomes the reference, and every unit in the order is checked against it before packing.
What Can Be Customized
Most changes sit inside the existing frame and motor. Anything that needs a new impeller or a new tool moves into ODM territory and is quoted separately.
| Item | Options | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Voltage and frequency | 110 V, 220 V, 380 V, 50 or 60 Hz; DC 12 V, 24 V, 48 V | Depends on the motor platform; confirmed per model. |
| Lead wires and connectors | Length, gauge, terminal type, plug, waterproof connector | Must match the certified configuration where a certificate applies. |
| Label and packaging | Your brand, model naming, rating label, carton print, manual | Artwork and label text approved before production. |
| Mounting and frame | Hole pattern, bracket, guard, terminal box position | Changes that keep the same impeller are the fastest route. |
| Impeller and material | Blade material, balance grade, reinforced hub | New impeller geometry is an ODM project with sample and tooling lead time. |
| Performance tuning | Airflow traded against noise or static pressure within one frame | Requires a target curve; we confirm what the platform can reach. |
How the Process Works
- Requirement review. You send duty point, target market, quantity and the changes you need. We flag what is feasible on which platform.
- Proposal and sample. We quote the platform, the changes and the sample cost, then build a sample or send a data sheet.
- Sample approval. You test the sample and approve label, packaging and documentation. Approval is written, not verbal.
- Production. Units are built to the approved specification and checked before packing.
- Repeat orders. The approved specification is kept on file, so the next order does not restart the conversation.
Samples, MOQ and Documents
Minimum order quantity depends on the model and how far the customization goes — a label change and a new impeller are not the same order. Both MOQ and sample lead time are confirmed at quotation, together with the tooling position if one applies.
Before you commit, we can supply the data sheet, dimension drawing, available compliance documents and a statement of what is and is not certified for the model you are considering.
OEM and ODM Questions
What is the difference between OEM and ODM at WILMALL?
OEM changes the fan to your specification and brand. ODM starts from an existing platform and changes voltage, connector, label or mounting without new tooling. If the change needs a new impeller, it is quoted as an ODM project.
Can you change voltage and frequency?
Yes, within the limits of the motor platform: 110 V, 220 V and 380 V at 50 or 60 Hz, and DC versions at 12 V, 24 V or 48 V. The exact combination is confirmed per model before quoting.
Do you print our logo on the fan and the carton?
Yes. Rating labels, carton printing and manuals can carry your brand. Artwork and label text are approved before production, and we keep the approved file for repeat orders.
What is the minimum order quantity?
It depends on the model and the customization. A label change on a standard fan and a new impeller are different orders. MOQ is confirmed with the quotation.
Can you match a fan we already buy?
Usually. Send a sample, a nameplate photo or the original data sheet with the duty point. We compare frame, mounting, airflow and noise, then tell you where the match is exact and where it is close.
Who owns the tooling for an ODM project?
Ownership and amortization are agreed in writing before tooling starts. We do not start a tooling programme on a verbal instruction.
Send the change you need, not the whole catalogue.
A nameplate photo, the target voltage and the label artwork are enough for us to tell you what is possible and what it costs.
