Overview
A portable unit for temporary ventilation: tank entry, pit work, maintenance on equipment that cannot be opened to the atmosphere. The fan sits on a frame, connects to a trailing cable and moves air through a short duct or directly into the space.
Portability changes the risk profile. The unit is handled, moved and plugged in on site, so the cable, plug and frame matter as much as the motor enclosure. Coverage depends on the model and the zone it is documented for.
Where it fits
- Tank and vessel entry
- Pit and sump work
- Confined-space maintenance
- Temporary ventilation during shutdowns

Selection and installation notes
Portable does not mean unrestricted: the unit still needs the correct rating for the area, and the cable and plug are part of that rating.
For confined spaces, ventilation is one control among several. Gas testing and entry procedure remain with the site.
FAQ
Can it be moved between areas?
Yes, but only into areas its certification covers. Check the marking against the classification before each use.
What cable length is available?
Confirmed with the quotation. Cable length and entry are part of the protection concept and may be fixed by the certificate.
Does it come with a duct?
The fan is supplied as a unit; flexible duct and couplings are selected separately.
Is it suitable for continuous use?
It is intended for maintenance work. For continuous ventilation of a room, use a fixed wall or duct unit.
