Overview
An exhaust fan for rooms where a flammable atmosphere may be present. The air-moving parts are conventional; the difference is the motor enclosure, the cable entries and the marking that ties the unit to a certificate.
This version is fixed and wall-mounted, for continuous or switched ventilation of a hazardous room. Coverage depends on the model and the zone, so the classification has to come before the model number.
Where it fits
- Chemical and process rooms
- Paint and solvent storage areas
- Pump and compressor rooms
- Dust-handling enclosures

Selection and installation notes
Send the zone, gas group and temperature class with the airflow requirement. Without those three, no model can be confirmed as suitable.
Installation decides compliance: glands, earthing and cable type are part of the protection concept. A certified fan wired with the wrong gland is no longer compliant.
FAQ
Which zones is it suitable for?
Coverage is model-specific and stated on the manufacturer's certificate. Send the classification and we will confirm which models are documented for it.
Do you supply ATEX-certified fans?
Some models are supplied against explosion-proof certificates issued to the manufacturer. We confirm what documentation exists rather than claiming a certification we cannot evidence.
Can it be used in a duct?
This is a wall-mounted unit. For ducted pressure duty, a centrifugal explosion-proof fan is normally the better fit.
What documents come with it?
A certificate copy for the model, the marking details to compare against the nameplate, and installation instructions.
