Overview
The BT35-11 series is the high-temperature member of the explosion-proof range. It is used where the air is both hot and potentially flammable: oven exhaust, process ducts and rooms where heat and solvent vapour occur together.
The model number carries the fan size and the motor configuration. Temperature capability, motor position and the certificate coverage all vary by variant, so the gas temperature and the zone have to be stated together.
Where it fits
- Oven and dryer exhaust
- Process duct extract in hazardous areas
- Paint and coating ovens
- Hot gas extraction from classified rooms

Selection and installation notes
Give us the gas temperature and the duty cycle, not the room temperature. High-temperature variants change bearing, insulation and motor position.
A hot fan is not a fire-rated fan. If the project requires fire certification, say so at inquiry stage; it is a different document from an explosion-proof certificate.
FAQ
What temperature can it handle?
It depends on the variant and on where the motor sits. State the gas temperature and duty cycle and we will confirm the limit for the specific model.
Is it certified for Zone 1?
Coverage is model-specific and shown on the manufacturer's certificate. Send the zone, gas group and temperature class.
Can the motor be outside the airstream?
High-temperature arrangements usually place it outside. Confirm per model before ordering.
What about maintenance?
Bearings and terminal parts must match the certified configuration. Keep the certificate with the unit and order spares against the model.
