Overview
A centrifugal fan selected for pressure, not volume. The backward-curved impeller and the heavy housing let it hold a duty point against filters, long ducts and constricted process paths that would stall a lighter fan.
Sizes cover several motor powers and speeds. Because the fan is often part of a fixed process line, the duty point and the motor power should be confirmed together rather than sized from the airflow alone.
Where it fits
- Dust and fume extraction
- Process air with dense resistance
- Long ducted systems
- Industrial suction and conveying assist

Selection and installation notes
State the airflow at the working pressure. High-pressure fans are usually selected at the system curve, and the free-air figure tells you little.
Check the wear items if the air is abrasive: impeller tips, inlet cone and housing liners. A worn impeller loses balance before it loses airflow.
FAQ
What makes it high pressure?
The backward-curved impeller, the housing geometry and the motor speed. It is designed to hold airflow against a high static pressure.
Can it be speed-controlled?
Three-phase versions usually can, within the motor and bearing limits. Confirm the drive before ordering.
Is it suitable for dusty air?
Yes, better than a forward-curved fan, but abrasive dust still wears the impeller. Tell us the dust load.
How do I reduce noise?
A larger, slower unit, a flexible connector and a straight discharge. Silencers add resistance, so they change the duty point.
