Overview

Drive cabinets are not like other enclosures. The heat sits in a small number of components — heatsinks, busbars, chokes — and the airflow has to pass them rather than circulate around them. This fan is sized for that job: 320–400 m³/h through a panel opening, with the motor and frame arranged for a cabinet wall.

Four models cover 115 V and 230 V at 50 and 60 Hz on a 36 W motor. Noise is 52 dB(A) at one metre in both frequency versions, which is low for the airflow class and part of the reason this frame is used in cabinets that sit near operators.

Where it fits

  • VFD and soft-starter cabinets
  • Servo and drive panels with concentrated heat sources
  • Power conversion enclosures with busbar and heatsink cooling
  • Control rooms where cabinet noise has to stay moderate

Selection and installation notes

Direct the airflow across the heatsinks, not at the wiring. An intake filter on the opposite side and an exhaust at the top of the cabinet gives the air a path through the hot components instead of a shortcut across the door.

The 60 Hz version moves 400 m³/h against 320 m³/h at 50 Hz, with the same noise figure. If the cabinet is already close to its temperature limit, that margin is usually worth taking.

FAQ

Why a dedicated fan for drive cabinets?

Drive cabinets concentrate heat in heatsinks and busbars. A fan that moves air across those components removes more heat than one that only stirs the enclosure volume.

What airflow does it provide?

320 m³/h at 50 Hz and 400 m³/h at 60 Hz, at 52 dB(A) at one metre.

Can it run continuously?

It is intended for continuous cabinet duty. Confirm the ambient temperature at the fan and keep the intake filtered so dust does not build up on the blades.

Does it come with a filter?

The fan is supplied as a unit. Filter guards and exhaust filters are matched separately to the frame and fixing centres.
