Overview
A circular inline fan with a centrifugal impeller inside. It fits into a round duct like an axial inline fan but holds pressure through bends, grilles and longer runs — the reason it is used for kitchen and workshop extract.
Several diameters cover common duct sizes. The body length and the spigot dimensions matter as much as the airflow, because the fan has to fit between existing joints.
Where it fits
- Commercial kitchen extract
- Workshop fume extraction
- Round duct runs with bends
- Inline replacement of an undersized axial fan

Selection and installation notes
Confirm the duct diameter and the body length before ordering. A centrifugal inline fan is usually longer than the axial unit it replaces.
Keep a straight section after the outlet. The discharge is turbulent, and an immediate bend costs pressure and adds noise.
FAQ
How is it different from an axial inline fan?
The centrifugal wheel holds pressure through bends and grilles; the axial unit is better only on short, straight runs.
Can it be mounted vertically?
Depends on the model and bearing. Confirm the orientation before ordering.
Is it suitable for grease?
Kitchen versions need access for cleaning. Tell us the application so the right variant is quoted.
Does it need a speed controller?
Only if the duty allows and the motor supports it. Confirm before adding one.
