Overview
A combined filter and shutter for panel and cabinet fans. The filter keeps dust out of the enclosure; the shutter closes the opening when the fan stops, so cold air, insects and noise do not travel back through the duct.
The frame is flame-retardant ABS with a nylon filter medium. Sizes cover common fan openings, and the media is replaceable, which matters because a loaded filter is the usual reason a cabinet overheats.

Selection and installation notes
A filter reduces delivered airflow. Size the fan on the filtered figure, and plan a replacement interval based on the dust load.
A shutter adds a small resistance and a clicking noise when it moves. In quiet rooms, check whether that is acceptable.

Yes. The denser the media, the more resistance. Size the fan on the airflow you need with the filter fitted.
How often should the filter be replaced?
It follows the dust load. Inspect monthly in dirty plants and replace when the media is visibly loaded.
Will the shutter stop cold draughts?
It closes the opening when the fan stops, which reduces backdraught. It is not a seal for weatherproofing.
