Overview
A backward-curved turbine impeller on an external rotor motor. The combination gives pressure and a short body, which is useful inside equipment where a conventional motor and shaft would take too much depth.
It is used in air handling, drying and cooling modules where the airflow has to overcome a coil or a filter and the housing depth is fixed.
Where it fits
- Compact air handling modules
- Drying and curing equipment
- Equipment cooling with a coil
- Retrofit into a fixed housing depth

Selection and installation notes
The motor sits in the airstream. Confirm the air temperature and whether the unit blows or draws through the coil.
Check the impeller clearance and the inlet ring. A turbine wheel that is not seated loses pressure quietly, without any obvious fault.
FAQ
What is a turbine impeller?
A backward-curved wheel with many short blades, used where pressure and a compact diameter are both required.
Can it be speed-controlled?
With a suitable controller for the motor. Confirm the type before ordering.
Blow or draw through the coil?
Both are used. Tell us the arrangement so the duty point is calculated for it.
Is a guard available?
Yes, matched to the inlet. The impeller is exposed on the intake side.
