Overview
The frame version of the external rotor fan: a square plate with a circular opening, designed to bolt onto a wall, a panel or a duct flange. It is the variant used when the fan has to sit in a flat surface rather than on a coil ring.
The short body helps where depth is limited behind the panel. Mounting holes, frame size and impeller diameter vary across the range, so match the cut-out and the fixing centres before ordering.
Where it fits
- Wall and panel exhaust
- Equipment housings with a flat mounting face
- Duct flanges and plenum walls
- Retrofit of an existing square opening

Selection and installation notes
Measure the hole centres, not just the frame size. Two frames of the same nominal size can differ in fixing pattern.
Add a shutter or guard on the exposed side. The frame does not protect the blades by itself.

FAQ
What is the difference from the drum type?
The frame type bolts to a flat surface; the drum type mounts in a ring around a coil. The airflow and motor options overlap, but the mounting does not.
Can it replace a wall fan directly?
Only if the cut-out, hole centres and depth match. Send the old label or the measurements.
Is a shutter available?
Yes, matched to the frame. It closes the opening when the fan stops and adds a small resistance.
Which way should the air flow?
Out of the enclosure for exhaust duty. Confirm the intended direction before ordering; some models are directional.
