Overview
An external rotor fan puts the impeller on the outside of the motor instead of on a shaft. The body gets shorter, the motor is cooled by the air it moves, and the unit fits where a conventional motor-and-shaft fan would not.
This version is aimed at industrial cooling: condensers, machine cooling and equipment where the fan sits close to a coil or a louvre. Voltage and frequency options are confirmed per model, and two-pole or six-pole motors change the speed and noise balance.
Where it fits
- Refrigeration condensers and evaporators
- Industrial machine cooling
- Wall and panel exhaust on equipment
- Coil-facing installations with limited depth

Selection and installation notes
State the air temperature at the fan and whether it blows through the coil or draws through it. The same unit behaves differently in each arrangement, and the motor’s cooling depends on it.
The impeller is exposed on the intake side. Fit a guard where people or loose objects can reach it.
FAQ
What is an external rotor fan?
A fan where the impeller is fixed to the outside of the motor housing, so the blades rotate around the stator. The result is a short, compact body with the motor cooled by the airflow.
Can the speed be changed?
With a suitable controller, within the motor's limits. Pole count and supply frequency also set the base speed.
Blow or suck through the coil?
Both are used. Tell us the arrangement and the coil resistance so the duty point is calculated for it.
Is a guard available?
Yes. Guards and mounting accessories are matched to the impeller diameter and fixing pattern.
