Overview
A dedicated controller for dry-type transformers: it reads winding temperature from embedded sensors and switches cooling fans at set thresholds. It is not a general-purpose thermostat — the sensor type, channel count and alarm outputs are specific to transformer practice.
Models differ in channel count and output configuration. Confirm the sensor type (Pt100 or thermocouple), the number of windings and whether alarm or trip contacts are required.
Where it fits
- Dry-type distribution transformers
- Cast-resin transformer cooling
- Fan banks on transformer enclosures
- Temperature alarm and trip circuits
Selection and installation notes
Match the sensor type exactly. A controller expecting Pt100 will not read a thermocouple correctly, and the failure is silent until the alarm does not operate.
Test the alarm and trip outputs during commissioning. A controller that only displays temperature is not doing the protection job.
FAQ
Which sensor type is supported?
It depends on the model. Confirm Pt100 or thermocouple before ordering; the two are not interchangeable.
Can it control several fans?
Yes, through the output relays, within their contact rating. Larger banks need contactors.
Does it provide alarm contacts?
Models vary. Tell us whether you need alarm, trip or both, and the contact arrangement.
Is it a substitute for a general thermostat?
No. It is designed for transformer winding temperature, with the sensor and output configuration that application requires.
