Overview
An electric fan heater for spot heating: bathrooms, small workshops, kennels and livestock pens. Air is pushed across a heating element and into the room, so the space warms faster than with a static radiator.
Models differ in power and physical size. In wet rooms the IP rating and the installation zone decide what is acceptable, and the supply has to carry the load — a high-power unit needs its own circuit.
Where it fits
- Bathrooms and washrooms
- Small workshops and garages
- Livestock and poultry buildings
- Site offices and temporary rooms

Selection and installation notes
Bathrooms are divided into zones with different IP requirements. A heater acceptable beside a basin may not be acceptable inside the shower zone.
Check the supply before choosing the power. A 9 kW heater will not run from a domestic socket circuit.
FAQ
Which power rating do I need?
It follows the room volume, insulation and target temperature. Send the dimensions and construction for an estimate.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
Only a model rated for the zone where it will be installed, fitted by a qualified electrician.
Does it have a thermostat?
Models vary. A thermostat avoids cycling by hand; confirm whether it is built in or separate.
Can it run on a normal socket?
Only the lower ratings. Higher-power units need a dedicated circuit and protection.
